Lyme disease is an infection disease which is caused by bacteria, the four main types of bacteria such as Borrelia burgdorferi, Borrelia afzelii, Borrelia garinii, Borrelia mayonii bacteria. - Regularly check your family members including children, wife, pets and yourself for tick. Lyme disease can come back again. Some people get lyme disease many of the times so don’t consider that you can’t get this disease again.
- You should apply insect repellents to your skin with a higher concentration of DEET at least 20 percent. Cover your children also, cover their eyes, face and mouth but carefully because the chemical repellent can be harmful to sensitive areas of the skin.
- Buy a fine tipped-tweezers from a pharmacy and apply it near to the head or near to mouth and pull carefully to remove the ticks. Make sure that all the ticks are removed.
